Chuck Geenen
Chuck has over 25 years in construction and land development experience. He provides direction for daily management of the construction company, construction managers and superintendents. Chuck attended Calvin College and Michigan State University. He is a licensed Real Estate Sales Person, Michigan Residential Builder and Michigan Mechanical Contractor. Currently, Chuck serves on the City of Holland DDA Board and the City Building Board of Appeals.
Doug DeKock
With over 20 years in construction and real estate development, Doug provides leadership in development, sales, and finance. Doug attended Ferris State University. Doug is also a licensed Real Estate Sales Person and is a part of the Riverview Group, Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland area, Holland Christian Foundation Board and the Bethany Christian Services National Board of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Jim Hoekstra
Jim has 25 years in construction, including previous experience as project manager and administrator for three architectural firms. His responsibilities include estimating, contract documentation, project management, and project design. Jim past projects under his management include the Rose Park School addition, Park Church, the Macatawa Bank Corporate and Branch Offices and Boatwerks Restaurant. Currently, Jim is project managing the ABC Warehouse project at the Alpine Shopping Center in Walker, MI.
Kara Slater
Kara has been with GDK since 1994. She is a project manager responsible for all project communication, documentation and coordination. Kara has also received her LEED® Accreditated Professional credential. Kara's past projects include such projects as GPM Industries, the renovation of the former JB Labs building, The Terraces of Towne Centre, Alpine Summit Shopping, Value Place Hotel and City Flats Hotel and Bistro. Currently, Kara is managing multiple projects including JCI Lithium Battery plant and Midtown Village in Holland, Walgreens and East Grand River Park in Grand Haven,
Ron Brink Ron Brink is the Director of Business Development for the firm. Ron has been with GDK Construction since 2008 and focuses on developing new client relationships and maintaining the relationships for existing clientele.
Jody Myaard
A Project Superintendent, Jody has over 23 years construction experience with an extensive background in carpentry, concrete and general supervision. He has managed projects ranging in size from $100,000 to over $1,000,000. He has been the project superintendent on various commercial projects, including Harderwyk Church Youth Facility, Fifth Third Bank, Culver's Restaurant, Tractor Supply Company, and Boatwerks Restaurant. Currently Jody is supervising the JCI Lithium Battery plant in Holland, Michigan.
Tim Smith
A Project Superintendent, Tim has been with GDK for 23 years and has worked in construction for 32 years. He has experience in all aspects of construction and has managed commercial projects including banks and office buildings. Tim's past projects include Prein & Newhof Offices, West Michigan Lakeshore Association of Realtors, and Macatawa Bank Corporate Office and branches. Currently, Tim is supervising the Walgreens in Grand Haven MI.
Dan Nyhof
Dan joined the GDK team in 2000. Dan graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Ferris State University. He has completed work on multiple Walgreens Stores and the City Flats Hotel and Bistro in Holland, Michigan. Currently, Dan is supervising the East Grand River Park in Grand Haven and the upcoming Midtown Village project in Holland.
Ross Kruithof
Ross started at GDK Construction in 2004 and graduated from Ferris State University with a Bachelor degree in Construction Management. He has completed work on jobs including Meijer, RA Miller, Walgreens, and the Value Place Hotel. Currently Ross is superivising the ULTA store in Holland and ABC Warehouse in Walker, MI.
Kyle Huizenga
Kyle has been working for GDK Construction for over 7 years as Construction Site Supervisor. In the past, Kyle has been responsible for heading up our residential construction projects including Fairview Shores and Waterway Pines and commerical projects including Walgreens and Staples. Currently, Kyle is supervising the Terraces 4th floor condominium unit in Holland.
Greg Barry
Greg is the Chief Financial Officer for GDK Construction. Greg has been with the company over 6 years. He graduated from Hillsdale College with a Bachelor degree in Accounting.
Lisa Knoll Lisa joined GDK Construction in 1990. She is the assistant to the project managers. She is also responsible for property management accounting for Geenen DeKock Properties. Lisa has a Bachelor degree from Heidelberg College.
Lindsay Lacy
Lindsay has been with GDK Construction almost 5 years as the Adminstrative and Marketing Assistant. Lindsay attended Grand Valley State University and graduated from Davenport University with a degree in Marketing.
